Exercise is a fundamental component to staying healthy. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that health adults get at least 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise weekly. There are plenty of ways to accomplish this and fit exercise into your day. One key thing is finding the best workout that is a good fit for you. It should be something you enjoy because you will be much more likely to stick to it if you are having fun.
At Studios Etc. on Palm Beach, we offer a few different kinds of classes to fit any workout style. Primarily, we offer:
Clearly, these workouts differ drastically from one another. We firmly believe in a well-rounded fitness regimen that consists of strength training and cardio. For the best possible results, coming to a variety of our classes would be the best way for you to shape up fast. However, if you are wondering what class to start with, here is a quick guide.
Our cycle classes are all about high energy. We get our name from the momentum we build up in class, from the minute we start until the moment class is over. If you like to workout out in an intense, high energy, super motivating class, this is a great fit for you. Our talented teachers will guide you through class with a backdrop of low lighting and candle-lit ambiance, with the latest hits and great music playing to encourage you along.
Many people are intimidated by spinning or cycle class, but there is no need. Sure, it is an intense workout, but you can rest when you need to, and simply do your best to keep up. Our studio is a zero-judgement zone.
Labarre is a quieter workout, but don’t be fooled. You will sweat, you will work, and you will be challenged. Ballet barre is a challenge for all of your muscle groups and will strengthen and lengthen your entire body from head to toe. Our barre studio is light and breezy, with mirrors along the wall so that you can make sure your posture and alignment is perfect.
Barre is a discipline of both the body and mind. It focuses on using your breath as a way to guide your body through challenging exercises. Beyond strengthening your entire body, barre helps with posture, balance, alignment, flexibility, and much more.
Pilates is a great workout focused on strengthening your core, primarily, and your entire body along with it. Pilates enhances your quality of life entirely. It is similar to yoga, although the exercises tend to be more systematic. It is a great way to develop flexibility, balance, strengthen your core, and correct your posture.
Our classes are small to allow for focused attention on each student. Our amazing instructors use a combination of floor exercise and machines to help with coordination and strength. The studio features high ceilings and large windows.
Finding your best workout can be tough, but don’t quit trying! We encourage our clients to try a medley of all of our classes to find the right fit. It is also important to get to know different instructors, because you may enjoy the teaching style of one more than the other.
If you have any doubt, or questions about what the best workout is for you, give us a call or drop by the studio so that we can help guide you!
